Consider the community in which you live and the various groups that have a significant presence in the community. Choose one of the groups present in your community to research for this assessment. Alternatively, if you simply wish to research a specific group, you are free to do so. Examples of population groups include African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, recent immigrant populations (Hmong, Somali, Nigerian, et cetera), and GLBTQ individuals. You may also consider underrepresented groups such as the elderly, rural residents, and other diverse groups.
