C: Assessment Task You are required to produce a fully referenced 1,000-word business report that identifies and critically evaluates a wicked problem which is currently being experienced within an organisation of your choice. This may be an organisation you work in or with or have in the past OR an organisation you are able to research through secondary sources only. It is recommended that you agree your choice with your tutor. D: Specific Criteria/Guidance You should provide: A critical analysis of the concept of a wicked problem (30%) A critical assessment of the usefulness of the concept of a wicked problem to a manager. (20%) An outline of the perceived problem situation contextualised within your chosen organisation and its respective sector. (20%) A critical analysis of the problem, justifying its identification as a wicked problem. (30%) Notes: You may refer to other problems in your chosen organisation and to similar problems in other organisations for comparison to illustrate your arguments. You are required to include a critical discussion of the literature when evaluating the concept of wicked problems and its application to your perceived problem situation. Use academic references to support a coherent argument throughout a well-structured discussion. F: Submission Guidance You must submit assessments in Microsoft Word or PDF format. The file must be no larger than 40MB. Your writing is expected to conform to Standard English in terms of spelling, syntax and grammar. You must include your Assessment Number (J Number) in the header or footer. Include your word count at the end of the assignment or the front cover. Set up your page for A4 paper in portrait style. The font size must be a minimum of point 12 Calibri (or equivalent) for the body of the assessment and footnotes must be 2 points smaller. Line spacing in the body of the assessment must be 1.5 lines. Number the pages consecutively. Students should submit work before 12 noon on the deadline date electronically via Moodle.
