For this web-based activity, you will use the power of the Internet to research the voting records of two (2) of your members of Congress (1 member of the House and 1 member of the Senate) and compare them to your own beliefs in order to determine how well you are represented in the federal legislature. Step 1 Determine Which Members of Congress You Will Research. One Senator California has 2 senators, Kamala Harris and Dianne Feinstein. You may select either one of them (although Feinstein has been in office much longer and has a longer record). One Member of the House (NANCY PELOSI). Although I am interested in your views, the emphasis should be on the views and voting records of your representative. The more specific, the better. In other words, it would be better to refer to specific votes they have cast or legislation they have sponsored than merely their general views.
