In this unit, you are learning about health issues that may affect your community. Your community may already be addressing some of those issues. For this discussion, you are asked to select one of the issues presented in the unit that has been addressed in your community.
Please complete the following steps for your discussion post and response.
Select one of the following topics:
Children’s immunization
Adolescents’ risk-taking behaviors
Mental Health and/or homelessness
Migrant health
Substance abuse
Domestic violence
Describe how the issue is currently being addressed in your community.
Using the literature, describe one other approach to handling the identified issue.
Be sure to include whether the chosen approach represents a primary, secondary, or tertiary level of prevention.
