TTE 4003 – Fall 2019 – Paper Assignment This paper is assigned in order to strengthen your writing skills and get you familiar with the type of report format you will be preparing in your future careers. The paper is required to be a maximum of 2,000 words (excluding cover, tables, figures and references). It must be typed, double-spaced, times new roman size 12. You must include in your paper: • Cover page with title, name, class name, date and keywords *(you dont have to do this)* • Introduction/background section • Main content/body section • Conclusions/Findings/Discussion section • References: Minimum of 5 trustworthy (i.e. not Wikipedia, not random internet sites, and not class lecture material, etc.) articles/reports (preferably peer reviewed journal articles and/or State or U.S. DOT reports) on the subject of your choice (from the list above). The paper will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin software. *****The main points to take away are that it must be 2000 words maximum, with a minimum of 5 reliable sources, and it will be checked for plagiarism. Plagiarism is a big deal to my professor, so please be careful! Please use proper citations. Finally, i have attached our course notes for you to reference. These notes are relevant to the topic, but he asked that you not use it as one of the five citations. You can use the content of the notes in the essay, but it will not count as 1 of the five citations.*****
