Choose, explain and justify an ethical perspective to apply to the situation.
Case Study Paper This case study assignment asks you to apply a particular perspective to a current situation you perceive as an ethical dilemma, problem or tragedy. The issue you choose should not be a matter of simple choice (i.e.: should I tell the truth or not). Rather, the dilemma should be reasonably complex. The case should be drawn from the public or professional sphere. It should NOT be about personal experience. Your 4-5 page essay should: Identify a communication situation that fits the above criteria and provide appropriate background. Articulate the central ethical problem, dilemma, or tragedy using material from chapter 3 of the text Continue with the Ethical Reasoning Model from chapter three and discuss steps two, three, and four of that model. Additionally, explain which of the ethical values from Chapter 4 are central to the situation (there may be more than one). Choose, explain and justify an ethical perspective to apply to the situation. Make sure to defend how these perspectives lend the most insight into understanding the situation. Choose ethics perspectives described in the text. Fully apply the ethical perspective you have chosen to the elements of the case. In doing so you should be able to comment on the specific communication behaviors of the social actors in the situation. Your comments should address the ethical implication and consequences of their actions or possible actions.
