Compose a starting point to your research project that is of high quality and shows a clear plan for your research project that meets all requirements Research Project Overview Requiring students to design an original research study that involves specifying and developing the methodology, running participants, and collecting and analyzing data is not feasible to complete in an eight-week online course. Instead, your research project will have you conduct a study using archival data. You will be provided with an expansive survey project dataset that includes real survey data on over 200 college student participants for 151 different variables. The data was collected through a large psychology survey designed for this course and administered online to college students at the University. All variables and measures specified in your research question(s) must be selected from the variables listed in the PSY4901 Research Project Variable and Dataset Reference Guidebook and included in our class Psychology Survey Project dataset These variables and measures are described on pp. 816 of the PSY4901 Research Project Variable and Dataset Reference Guidebook. ———————————————————– For Week 1, you will present the research question(s) and variables you intend to investigate in your study. ———————————————————— Specifically, in your first discussion post, identify each of the following aspects of your study idea: ————————————————————– What is the goal of your research? What research question (or questions) do you intend to investigate in your study? What predictor variable (or variables) are you proposing to investigate in your study? What measure or measures included in the dataset will you use for each of these predictor variables to be measured? What outcome variable (or variables) are you proposing to investigate in your study? What measure or measures included in the dataset will you use for each of these outcome variables to be measured? Based on your predictor and outcome variables, what is the nature of your research question? In other words, will your question be investigating a relationship using a correlational design or comparing preexisting groups using a comparative quasi-experimental design? Why do you expect that there will be a relationship between the variables included in your research question(s)?
