Just develop the education plan outline following the HECAT directions as stated below in APA formatting: Vaping and e-cigarettes It is surprising to me how accepting parents are of teenagers using e-cigarettes and vape pens. It appears that the message has been that these are safe alternatives to tobacco products resulting in a false sense of security when using these products. However, recently there have been reports of increasing rates of what has been dubbed The Mysterious Vaping Illness resulting in spikes of reported incidences of severe lung disease among those who vape. There is not enough information regarding long-term effects of these products as well as there appears to be a lot of misinformation as to the safety of these products that need to be addressed. My hope is to inform an at-risk population regarding the unknowns and dangers of these products in an effort to prevent initial use and/or reduce current use. References Lavito, A. (2019, August 30).
