Do you think the authors arguments were valid, compelling, and logically sound?
This is a synthesis essay for Sociology of North American Sport with the chosen topic “Doping Scandal with Olympic Athletes from Russia” In fact, this is a group essay for a team of 3 writers. I will be the one to write the introduction AND 2 sub-sections with 2 sources for each as main body. Minimum word counts for my part will be 200 for intro, 300 x2 sub-sections (or 800 words all together). Here are the details and instruction from the teacher: 1. Intro section: (1 paragraph) of the topic chosen, which relates your unique topic to the course. You may adapt work from the proposal or feedback given to your group by the professor. (See attached) 2. Main body: 5 separate sub-sections 1 sub-section for each of the 5 relevant sources* that pertain to this topic 5 relevant sources breakdown: *2-3 scholarly readings (e.g. peer reviewed journal articles) *2-3 other readings, podcasts, video or other digital material (e.g. The Atlantic, The Guardian, The Nation, etc.) These questions can help guide the writing of each sub-section: -What is the reading/video/digital source about and how does it relate to your special topic? -What was the perspective of the author/s? -How did the author/s present the material? -How did the authors support their theses? -Do you think the authors arguments were valid, compelling, and logically sound? Explain why or why not? (See https://www.iep.utm.edu/val- snd/ if you dont understand what that means). 3. References provide a reference page using APA formatting (and make sure to use APA formatting for in-text citations throughout the paper).
