literature review of FIVE publications which are provided (see attached files) as well as using supporting literature OBJECTIVES: >examine the wider political and professional drives for change and improvement in health and social care and the impact on nursing leadership >debate the skills required to manage change in complex and dynamic health and social care settings. >critically examine how evidence from service users and carers can act as a quality indicator within nursing practice >critically appraise evidence base underpinning quality improvement and patient safety >critically analyse the evidence base surrounding the association between leadership and quality of health care delivery >critically discuss strategies and frameworks to support the implementation of research into nursing practice *Search relevant databases to obtain a final FIVE peer reviewed publications. (I have already done this using CIHNAL and MEDLINE databases, the five articles are all attached on the file.) *Assignment needs to include the following 1) First complete and report on your literature searching -provide justification for the databases searched. -include an appendix with the table of databases searched. (i will do the appendix if you need a copy of the appendix please let me know) -justify the final selection of your FIVE key papers 2) Provide brief summary and evaluation of each individual paper -write a succinct summary of the paper. Draw out the main points of each individual paper approximately two paragraphs. 3) after your reading, summarise and evaluation, write the literature review. -compare and contrast within and across the papers. Do this by identifying the main theories, emerging themes, findings and/or implications for leadership and its influence of improving quality and safety in healthcare and/or nursing practice. -critique limitations in methods and or findings across papers. -critically reflect on how the literature review was built on your existing knowledge about leadership and its implications for nursing -include reference list, which contains but is not limited to the five selected articles. -where appropriate, you should draw upon other references to support your arguments or the points you want to make *you should present the work as an essay with a short introduction and conclusions *you can use headings to structure your work
