Identify the healthcare professional and the organization for which he or she works. Describe the professional’s daily tasks, assignments, and routines. Explain the professional’s role relative to patient care. With whom does the professional interact on a daily basis? Detail the most challenging aspects of the professional’s work. Explain whether the professional has interactions with colleagues outside his or her own her organization. Describe the communication strategies the professional uses with his or her peers, direct reports, etc. Identify and describe three strategies the professional uses to foster understanding and respect and to effect change within his or her organization. What professional organizations does he or she belong to?

Are organizational memberships or affiliations important to the professional’s work? Tell how the professional remains “current” in his or her field. Does the professional maintain a license or certification that requires renewal or ongoing educational credit? Describe any changes in your perception of this profession after your interview experience. Explain how your perception of the professional’s work differs from your initial perception, if at all. If not, why not? Identify three strategies you would use as a member of this profession to foster understanding and respect and to effect change within an organization. Summarize what you learned from this experience.
