Readings: This assignment includes all the readings listed for March 21 and March 28 As usual, in your assignment refer also (but not in detail) to the documentary film. Essay question: Write an opinion piece on responses to globalization and the challenges of global governance. How do the different authors and schools of thought respond to the question: What is to be done? Where do you stand in this debate? Maximum pages: 3 pages (between 850-900 words, citation page is nott required, see notes below) Note: No outside sources other than the readings and film are required. The purpose is to write a brief opinion article, such as you will find in the opinion pages of major newspapers. Read a few of these pieces before you tackle your first assignment (see the link to the Resources page in the website). Shy away from formal academic writing. In particular, there is no need to use detailed references to works cited (you can simply refer to the books as chapter 1 in Legrain or French or Ellwood or Stiglitz).
