In this paper, the reason which motivates people to take selfies will be discussed, but it must be understood that the way people understand of the meaning of selfies and the way they use selfies varies from person to person and depends on what the selfie is used for. The main question in this paper will be: what makes selfies enough to be a form of communication so that the sender feel that the receiving person has understood senders intention? The paper seeks to explore what the aim behind the selfie is. This paper reflects and discuss the link between communication, self-presentation and the selfie, this area is worthy of a large amount of research, because its shows that there is a combination between these three concepts that gives a better understanding about the reasons of selfies and using the tools which are cling to selfies.
