Persepolis or Edge of Seventeen and the hero’s or heroine’s cycle
What you will need to know or have done!: read Persepolis or watched Edge of Seventeen, become well versed with the “MAUREEN MURDOCKS HEROINES JOURNEY ARC”, and “Joseph Campbell’s hero cycle”! You must pick one step of either cycle and then pick a scene or a person that influenced said step. You must explain how that person or scene made that step come to be. Make sure there is a well formatted thesis: As in “In blank book/movie, the blank scene/person showed blank step in blank cycle.” Do not explain scenes, assume that the person has read or watched what you are speaking of. If you speak of a person you can use scenes as examples to show how your thesis is correct (again, do not explain the scene).
