Select a health care delivery system. The student will prepare a paper describing the healthcare delivery system’s role in providing services, how it contributes or does not contribute to managing healthcare resources, and the role in transitioning patients from one level to another level of care in the healthcare continuum (20%). The introduction and outline are due at midterm. The body of the paper should include a presentation of the healthcare delivery system and describe the healthcare delivery system role in providing services and contributions or lack thereof; in managing healthcare resources, and in transitioning patients from different levels within the healthcare continuum (40%). In the conclusion the student should analyze the effectiveness of the healthcare delivery system in the healthcare continuum and recommend potential improvements (15%). This 2,000 – 2,500 words project or paper (excluding abstract and reference pages) should follow APA format with abstract, introduction, body and conclusion. The paper should be double-spaced. A minimum of 10-reference articles is required (15%). The paper is due by midnight at the end of Unit 7. See course policy for late papers.
