Translational Research for Practice and Populations
Overall comments: An appropriately written submission is noted regarding patient falls. The discussion contains limited support to justify why the practice change needs to occur and should include supporting information to justify the change. Appropriate key stakeholders are identified, however, the description is limited in detail regarding how each stakeholder will play to support the proposed practice change. A well-developed evidence table is provided with five sources. Three of the five sources are dated greater than 5 years. Evidence ranking, evidence summary, and recommended best practice aspects will be re-evaluated when sources that are published within the past 5 years are provided. The Iowa Model is noted as the practice change model that is most appropriate for the proposed practice change. Provision 3 of the ANA Code of Ethics is noted as a possible ethical implication that may arise while implementing the proposed practice change.
