Arrange to videotape yourself teaching the lesson that you developed for your Annotated Lesson Plan assignment using one of the options listed below as approved by your instructor. Write a 3-5 page self-evaluation about your lesson demonstration based on your experiences, reflection on the lesson taught, feedback from your peers and instructor (when applicable), and a review of your video. Describe and critically assess your teaching performance. Reflect on the effectiveness of your lesson design and its implementation in a way that demonstrates your mastery of key course concepts, especially designing instruction for English Learners. Include explicit supporting references from a minimum of two different sources, which include textbooks, scholarly books, scholarly journals and electronic readings. For Online Students Videotape yourself teaching a portion or portions of your lesson equaling 15-20 minutes. The clip or clips should highlight your instructional practices that clearly demonstrate your integration of methods and strategies designed to help English Learners. In order to maximize your learning, choose the filming option that will afford you the most authentic experience possible. Conduct your lesson in a grade K-6 classroom. *IF UNAVAILABLE* Conduct your lesson for a minimum of two or more age-appropriate students in your home or other simulated classroom location. Additional students will make your experience more authentic. *IF UNAVAILABLE* C. Conduct your lesson for a minimum of 2 or more adult friends or family members in your home or other simulated classroom location. Additional students will make your experience more authentic. The use of technology (PowerPoint, multimedia, video, or web-based materials), used appropriately within the lesson, is required. For additional reflective benefit, videotape your entire lesson, and then edit or copy the portions to be shared with your instructor. Submit the video to the instructor via the Kaltura feature in the Mashups tools in Blackboard. Submit your reflective self-evaluation paper via the assignment link above. Onsite students Videotape yourself teaching a portion or portions of your lesson equaling 15-20 minutes.
