apply Japanese quality improvements techniques and management philosophies
The group project is intended to give students experience using the Japanese quality method for identifying and correcting quality problems. Groups of approximately five students each will be formed during week one. Each group will be assigned to select an improvement project for a process, product, or service in UAE based organization and apply Japanese quality improvements techniques and management philosophies. The group will write a report consisting of 2500 words as minimum. There will be presentation at Week 9. Students can use any concept in Japanese quality they learned in the class. Some of the concepts are as follows: Kaizen Visual Management 5M and 5S technique Muda, Mura and Muri
