The report will include the following sections: 1. Overview of current economic performance, GDP growth Inflation Unemployment National (government) debt Current account balance In assessing performance consider not just the current level/growth rate for each, but the trajectory is performance improving or weakening, and how rapidly? 2. Identification of priority issues for government macroeconomic policy What weaknesses should government/central bank address and why? 3. Recommendations for appropriate macroeconomic policy How should fiscal, monetary and supply-side policies be employed to address the issues identified in section 2?
